Teach Daisy Dog to get In & Out of our Kayak

Daisy Dog wasn't always excited to get into our kayak. After a few adventures, Daisy Dog loved playing & riding in our kayak.

Daisy Dog is proud to show you how well she gets into and out of our kayak. We've had a few mishaps over the years, but that has been part of the fun and learning together.

Once Daisy began to enjoy the kayak, she learned very quickly how to get into the kayak and out of the kayak very well on her own.

The first most important part of kayaking with your dog is, to relax and have fun. Expect to get wet. Wear your life vests, bring snacks and have a great time together.

The next most important thing to rmember about getting into and out of your kayak with your dog is, to NOT let your dog pull himself or herself into the kayak over the gun rail or cockpit splash guard. What ever you want to call the ring around the seat of the boat... Don't pull that to the side, and into the water.

The best way for your dog to get into your kayak is to stay in the center and help balance the kayak.

A very small dog might be best be held and carried into the kayak with you. Larger dogs, need a little more careful planning. Daisy is 40 pounds and just enough to pull the kayak over if she tries.
