Canoe Colorado River Moab, UT
We canoed with our dog on the Colorado River in Moab Utah. We put the canoe onto the Colorado River at the paved boat, off Route 191, near route 128. We put Daisy in the canoe first wearing her life vest, and then we got in and pushed off. Daisy chose to first ride in the bow, and look for places to stop to splash. |

We stopped our canoe at a tiny secluded beach, to let Daisy out to play at a sandbar.
We got back into our canoe with our dog, and paddled to a a gravel boat launch that had picnic tables, along Route 279, and ate our lunches.
We launched our canoe and continued down river past amazing views of Utah.
We enjoyed relaxing in the quiet, beautiful weather.
We found another small sand bar, to stop across from the Potash Mine. Let Daisy stretch her legs a little and paddled the last beautiul mile to the boat launch where we took the canoe out and waited for the outfitters to arrive.
There are many other rivers and outfitters through out the country that will allow dogs in their canoes. If you need to rent a canoe. This is also a very gentle paddle for a family of all ages.
