Border Collie Thanksgivings

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the blessings we have and be thankful for them all.  I'm thankful to have a beautiful Border Collie, Daisy. I thought I'd list a few things that I think Daisy might be thankful for.....

  Dog Thanksgiving Mud

Daisy Dog is thankful for mud.....

Daisy enjoys running, splashing and rolling in mud. I keep plenty of thick towels in my vehicle to cover the seats on the days she finds mud while away from home.

  Dog Thanksgiving Snow

Daisy Dog is very thankful for snow.

She enjoys rolling and playing and long walks in the snow. Daisy seems disappointed to see the snow melt. We find plenty of other things to do after the snow melts.

  Dog Thanksgiving Walk

Daisy Dog is thankful for walks.

Daisy enjoys walking in the woods over logs, along rivers or ponds. A walk along the road in her hood is important to keep up with current events.

  Dog Thanksgiving Pool

Daisy Dog is thankful for her pool.

July and August are very warm months and Daisy enjoys b eing in her pool after we've been doing chores or playing games.

  Dog Thanksgiving kayak

Daisy Dog is thankful for her kayak.

Daisy's first experience in a kayak was shaky. Now she is addicted to exploring lakes, ponds and rivers. We meet wildilife that we wouldn't see if we didn't travel along the river

  Dog Thanksgiving Road Trips

Daisy Dog is thankful for road trips and shopping excursions.

The sound of keys jingling has Daisy on high allert. She is ready for any adventure. Daisy enjoys a trip to local shops almost as much as a trip to a park, or even better a kayakable river.

  Dog Thanksgiving Hens

Daisy Dog is thankful for her favorite leghorn hens.

Daisy enjoys herding her hens into the coop every night, and playing with them any chance she can. Daisy has rescued them from coyotes, and finds them for me when they are lost. Border Collies need to be in charge of a task. These hens are Daisy's job.

  Dog Thanksgiving Home

Daisy Dog is thankful to have a loving home where she feels safe and welcome.

  Dog Thanksgiving Friends

Daisy Dog is thankful for friends and neighbors who stop and visit and have time to play games together.

Our lives are better having wonderful friends and neighbors to smile and wave to when we see them. They brighten our days.

  Dog Thanksgiving Kiss & Hugg

Daisy Dog is thankful to be loved.

I'm thankful I have Daisy, she is a huge help, and wonderful compainion. We've enjoyed adventures and look forward to making more adventures together. I hope she knows, she is loved.
