Our first day, in our new kayak was a little scary. I actually needed to drag Daisy dog into my kayak with me. My first kayak ever, and we both worried about falling into very cold water every time the little boat wobbled, just a tiny bit. Our second day kayaking at Buffumville, Daisy dog and I had much more confidence. We relaxed and enjoyed being out together. |

People at the Buffumville Boat Launch have all been very nice & friendly to Daisy Dog and myself. A boater told me about the tunnel under the road, to the North side of the Buffumville lake. While I thought I was being teased, I found the tunnel that is large enough for a kayaker to paddle through to the other side. Daisy Dog was and still is a bit nervous kayaking through the tunnel on Buffumville lake, she stayed inside our kayak and rode it through to the other side. Daisy Dog and I enjoy taking our kayak to the island on the southern end of Buffumville lake. There is a primitive camp site, that the park rent's out. |
