Border Collie Daisy Dog in her Ghost Costume ready for her Photo Shoot

My Border Collie Daisy Dog & I whipped this inexpensive ghost costume up in a few minutes. It's easy to put on Daisy. If we were to go trick or treating with this costume, we'd need to trim the long ends, so Daisy doesn't trip, or trip someone else.

I used a paper towel, and cut out a hole for Daisy's nose and eyes, to use as a pattern.

I tried the paper towel pattern over Daisy's pretty little face to see if I had the holes in the right places. Daisy was being very good. She also had several treats. Yes, I bribe my dog, all the time.

Lastly I measured Daisy from the floor to her chin so I don't make her costume too long or too short. Here I was trying on a lady bug costume I bought for Daisy and it needs a few tiny alterations. Daisy is a busy dog, I need to get a lot done while I have her attention.

This Ghost costume used about 1 yard of white fabric for Daisy. Very easy to make & inexpensive. The eye holes would need to be much larger for Daisy. I'd think more about making it a hoodie ghost. One big hole for her whole face, not 3 smaller holes. This was fine, to take pictures. Daisy took this costume off herself when we finished taking pictures.

We had fun with this ghost project. Daisy will be wearing her lady bug costume this Halloween. I think it's adorable, and I think she'll be more comforable wearing the ladybug costume. It's not very different from her kayaking life vest.

I hope we inspired you to enjoy Halloween with your dog.
